During the broadcast of his weekly Con El Mazo Dando program, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, paid a heartfelt tribute to the memory of the young martyr Robert Serra, highlighting his career as a reference for improvement for Venezuelan youth.
Cabello emphasized that Serra's life was not only an example of political militancy, but also of academic excellence and personal courage. He also recalled that the young deputy managed to consolidate his professional training with discipline, even in adverse environments.
“I will always use Robert Serra as an example; he got into the mouth of the wolf and graduated within the time stipulated by the law,” said Cabello, highlighting the student leader's ability to balance social struggle with academic duty.
In this regard, he described it as “incongruous” that those who aspire to lead the country do not show responsibility in their own education.
“It is questionable to see supposed 'leaders' of the right who spend more than 10 years in universities pursuing the same degree,” he said, adding that this prolonged stay shows a lack of commitment to the country and a strategy to exploit university institutions for destabilizing purposes.
