During the 588th broadcast of the Con El Mazo Dando program, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, asserted that Venezuela went from the capital of hell to the capital of security.

He stressed that foreigners who visit Venezuela do not want to leave, they feel safe and are witnesses that they can leave here in peace without fear of being robbed.

Cabello praised the significant reduction in crime figures recorded in recent periods: “Last year we decreased the crime rate of murder by 25%, and this year we are already around 12%, in numerical terms it's a lot,” he said.

However, Cabello pointed out that there is a social reality that requires immediate action. “Nowadays there are more suicides than homicides in the country, it's a very serious issue that needs to be addressed.”

In this regard, he valued the initiative of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), which carries out a very nice care and prevention program (...) “We must always talk about prevention, not talking about death but talking about life, about how beautiful it is to live,” he said.

He regretted that the suicide rate has increased, especially among young people and women. “Before they were 80% men and 20% women, now that has changed, the percentage of women has increased, plus the fact that there are men who murder their wives,” she said.
