On the night of this Wednesday, February 25, in his Con El Mazo Dando program, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that “no one in Venezuela can match the murder record of (Antonio) Ledezma.”

Antonio Ledezma was arrested 15 years ago and, today, he is a fugitive from justice (...). That man, Ledezma, had a prison burned down with the prisoners inside. When he was mayor, Caracas and governor of the then Federal District, he was a murderer,” he recalled.

Among Ledezma's criminal record, he noted that during his position as mayor and governor, he “put the police in front of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) to shoot students,” and to attack older adults, he “bought the 'Whale and Rhinoceronte' riot vehicles to water old people who were going to ask for their pensions or seek care for having kidney problems. It's a rat!” , he recalled.

He stated that “amnesty is an act of high spirit but it does not imply oblivion (...)” while warning that “these are irresponsible people and now they are going to put on their sheep and lamb costumes”.
