This Wednesday, during the recent broadcast of his Con El Mazo Dando program, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, launched a strong criticism against the sectors of the Venezuelan stateless extreme right, whom he described as “invariable” in their political and personal stance.
Cabello emphasized that the opposition leadership maintains the same line of conduct as in previous years. “They haven't changed, they're exactly the same and they're not going to change,” he said. Faced with this scenario, the Bolivarian leader urged the revolutionary forces to keep their guard up.
“What we must do is prepare for the worst case scenario; if the good one comes, thank God,” he said, stressing the importance of popular organization in the face of the strategies of the “extreme right”.
On the other hand, the general secretary of the PSUV also took advantage of the space to celebrate Venezuela's victory in the World Baseball Championship, contrasting the joy of the people with the supposed negative reaction of the opposition.
He also highlighted the patriotic commitment of Venezuelan athletes. “They played with their players born in their land, that's why it hurts them,” he said, adding that “they played with their heart and soul. That's where the humility of a team prevailed, which brought great joy to the country.”
Finally, Cabello pointed out that the sector opposed to the Bolivarian Government is going through a moment of stagnation. According to their statements, the opposition remains “very frustrated” because their political plans have not yielded the expected fruits. “Things aren't working out for them,” he concluded.
