Cabello: Second phase of the pilgrimage and Popular Consultation are progressing across the country!

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the progress of the second phase of the National Pilgrimage and of the organization for what will be the National Popular Consultation, on July 12 throughout the country.

During the PSUV press conference, he highlighted that the second phase of the pilgrimage continued last week in the states of Portuguesa and Barinas, where, together with the People and the various sectors of the country, central issues were discussed to continue working for the country's economic development and the well-being of Venezuelans.

As for the National Popular Consultation, he stressed that the phase of the projects that are going to be consulted will be until next June 17. “And that is in the final stretch with a very high level of participation, where the meetings have been held,” he said.

He also highlighted that participation in the assemblies has been seen through the Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) screen and the various social networks. At the same time, he reaffirmed that the process of organizing the Consultation “is extraordinary, as they have all been”.

He took the opportunity to highlight that with the Popular Consultations, the People are given more power to choose the projects to be implemented in their communities.

“What is the budget that is now being executed by the same community, the same people. And that is a guarantee of execution, of supervision, of control. And besides that it's what the people want, not what someone came up with somewhere else,” he said.
