Cabello: Security is a responsibility between Government, State and People

The Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stated that the security of citizens is a shared responsibility between the Government, the State and the People.

“You don't understand them (the opposition), they say we're building an army. No, here we are not arming an army; we are complying with what is established in the Constitution. Security is a responsibility between Government, State and People, and today we are doing it here,” said Cabello during the Adaptation of Peace Quadrants in Barinas.

Cabello explained that the units delivered are intended exclusively for Community Circuits.
“Where are those vans going? For the Communes, for their Community Circuit, for their Peace Quadrant. If a patrol is assigned to four Communes, it must patrol that area, it doesn't have to go anywhere else. Motorcycles must be in every commune,” he said

He highlighted the joint presence of security officials and the People's Power.

“Those who go there are flesh and blood brothers and sisters: the Bolivarian National Guard, the People's Guard, the Bolivarian Militia, the Bolivarian National Police, the state police, the municipal police and also our people. They are the ones who take those units,” he said.

Cabello reiterated that the instruction for officials is to maintain direct contact with communities.

“You go on your patrol, patrolling your four communes, and you find a school. What should you do? Stand up, get off, greet the principal, the teachers, hug the boys and girls so that they feel that their people have arrived, that the police and the National Guard are their friends, who protect them,” he said.

For her part, the spokeswoman for the Socialist Commune We Are All Chávez, Yudith Suárez, thanked the provision of patrols and motorcycles aimed at reinforcing the Quadrants of Peace in Barinas.

“Today, a purpose emanated by our constitutional president is consolidated, who gave an instruction to our Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Captain Diosdado Cabello, who has been carrying out a national deployment throughout the territory. Although we don't have it here, we are providing an effective response to guarantee security in each of the territories and communal circuits,” he said.

Suárez highlighted the joint work between the Bolivarian Government, the security forces and the People's Power.

“We are going to be observers, comptrollers and counterintelligence so that this plan is maintained over time in our territory of Barinas. We guarantee that our people and our communities feel calm, with police forces patrolling and preventing crimes in each territory,” he said.
