Cabello: The only way for the IMF to return our money is for us to be part of the organization

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recalled that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has 5 billion dollars in the country and the only way for them to return that money is for Venezuela to be part of that financial organization.

“After the announcement that the relationship with the IMF is being restarted, some of our (revolutionaries) comrades are offended by that and it's because they want to see nothing more wrong,” he said during his participation in the Encounter for Peace and Free of Sanctions, from the Experimental University of the Llanos Ezequiel Zamora, in San Carlos, Cojedes state.

In that sense, he insisted that if anyone has a better idea to have that money returned to the People of Venezuela, they should raise it. “Criticizing from the stomach is very easy, nobody is talking about indebtedness, bundles, nothing like that, it's recovering money that belongs to us Venezuelans,” he said.

“As part of the IMF in the system, we have the right to claim that money that belongs to Venezuelans and that they have to return it to us,” he added.

Cabello Rondón said that the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez has already said that this money will be used to recover services, electrical system, hospitals and for workers' salaries.

“This country is not going to be taken out by a group, we are going to take this country out of all Venezuelans,” he added.
