“The town of Trujillo has always been an example of work,” said the Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during a visit to the sausage company Gilgod, located in the state, where he highlighted the region's productive efforts and the operation of an industry that is advancing thanks to recently installed technologies.

Cabello highlighted that the country's economic activity demonstrates its resilience, even in the midst of external restrictions. “Let's imagine Venezuela without sanctions, without unilateral coercive measures, without threats and without blockade. As far as we could go with the creative and treasury work of Venezuelans”.

Cabello highlighted that the company complies with established sanitary standards and cooking times to guarantee quality products to the population of Trujillo and Los Andes. During the inspection, he observed the filling, cooking, cooling and packaging areas, where the products that supply the regional market are processed daily.

The Gilgod company has 225 employees, who contribute to the productive promotion of the state and to the strengthening of the local economy.

The company is able to produce superior cooked leg ham, 98% fat-free; turkey breast, nutritious ham, cold cuts, cooked back, smoked ham, arepero ham, cooked tender-type ham, extra mortadella, chicken boltadella with paprika, chicken boltadella with paprika, chicken mortadelitas, sausage mortadella, pepperoni, meat mortadelitas, smoked bacon, smoked sausage, pork legs, steak smoked meats, pork cheese and frozen products, among others.
