Cabello to the opposition: They would like to have the strength of the PSUV

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, rejected the media matrix disseminated by sectors of the opposition who claim that Chavism “only represents 600,000 people in the country.”

Faced with this hoax, Cabello sent a strong message to this political sector: “I don't know whether to keep quiet or laugh. They would like to have the strength of the PSUV, the presence of the PSUV on every street, in each community, the quality of the leadership in the National Directorate, in the states, municipalities, communes and UBCH. I'll wait for you on the downstairs.”

In his speech, he stated that those who try to dismiss the capacity of Chavism “are going to run into a wall, especially an organized and active people.”

Cabello stressed that the PSUV militancy participates in all Executive initiatives, especially in emergency situations. He recalled that, after the rains recorded on Saturday, “the first thing that appeared was the militancy of the party without propaganda or partisan exhibition. We are not screensavers. The People know who is present,” he said.

He invited those who question the popular organization to visit the camps installed in different parts of the country, such as the Maritime University of La Guaira, the Simon Bolivar University or the Martín Luther King Camp. He warned that any attempt to generate disturbances will find the answer of an organized people who “know who they can count on”.

Cabello stated that the PSUV “is a constant that is maintained, adapted and strengthened”, even in times of difficulty. “Two months later, here are the Government, the Revolution, the People of Venezuela and the PSUV,” he said.
