Cabello: Today the People decide and execute projects for their communities

This Thursday, April 09, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that today resources are invested in what the People decide.

“Now there is no way for the resource to be invested where the bureaucrat said, but it is the People who say where they are going to invest, they carry out the works themselves and do the comptroller; it is a virtuous circuit of how a democratic process should be carried out,” he said during the March commemorating 20 years of the Organic Law of the Municipal Councils, in Caracas.

He also highlighted the consolidation of 5,336 Communes and the more than 40,000 Community Councils organized throughout the country. “It's like a confederation of Community Councils, as Commander (Hugo) Chávez said, that are going to come together,” he said.

He emphasized that after the enactment of the Organic Law of the Municipal Councils, the Revolution has made great progress, highlighting that judges of the peace and the Quadrants of Peace operate around the Communes and Communal Councils. “It's a transcendent event for any society, this is a model to be evaluated anywhere in the world,” he said.
