Venezuela was saved from suffering a civil war with the coming to power of Commander Hugo Chávez, it was inevitable, said the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, this Wednesday, March 25.
“If anyone here has prevented a war, we are the Chavistas. It has always been us, the dead most of the time we, Chavismo, have played the dead since April 11, because they repeat the same script (,,,) and we have had to turn our cheeks on several occasions”, he emphasized.
In that sense, he commented that the military power of the time “undoubtedly the generals of the time were going to stage a coup d'etat. This is proven,” he said.
“We rose up on February 4th, a few guys who went out, stopped them. But since the Commander's triumph was inevitable, a coup was going to be staged against (Rafael) Caldera, his own son-in-law,” he said on his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 565.
He stressed that the victory of Commander Chávez “closed the gap, we avoided a war in Venezuela” and asserted that in any country where the events of April 11, 2002 occur, “the government, when it returns to power, ends everything and Hugo Chávez went out with this Christ, asked for forgiveness, for things for which he did not have to ask for forgiveness and called for dialogue. Nothing happened in this country, thanks to Commander Hugo Chávez.”
He recalled that all the media were aligned with the destabilization in Venezuela.
He also gave a brief summary of the aggressions against the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, “even some drones put him on, well.”
Cabello said that Venezuela “is at peace thanks to everyone, because this People are very aware, it is the People who rule, you do what the People say. The opposition cannot say that, because they are doing something else. They want to fuck with the people.”
