In an event that marked the beginning of the national pilgrimage for peace in the state of Táchira, the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, called on all sectors of the country to join a common cause: the sovereignty, peace and tranquility of the nation.

“We are going to look for every Tachirense, every Venezuelan, and we are going to add him to this pilgrimage so that the blockade, sanctions, persecution and unilateral coercive measures end, and that peace can finally be consolidated in our country,” said Cabello Rondón, from San Cristóbal, Táchira state.

Cabello Rondón insisted that unity is the way to overcome external aggressions. “Faith and hope move us, lift us up. If we fall, we get up again, shake off the dust and move forward,” he said.

He also urged those who promote agendas of destabilization and economic pressure to reflect on the legacy that will be left to the next generations. “That's enough, put your hand on your hearts and think that our children, our grandchildren, our great-grandchildren will live here forever. It is not from that path that things are achieved,” he said.

“We prefer to live in peace, in tranquility and we are going to get up, because good things are coming for Venezuela, prosperity, an extraordinary future and we Venezuelans are going to build it,” he added.
