The Government of Carabobo State, through the Secretariat for the Development of Culture and Art, invited artists from all over the country to participate in the 68th edition of the Arturo Michelena Hall, which will take place in the spaces of the Museum of Culture.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, applications are open to national artists residing in Venezuela and foreigners with five or more years of stay in the country.

In addition, works of individual or collective creation that have not been previously exhibited and that were made between 2023 and 2026 will be accepted. The visual artist or group of creators may submit only one work per category.

In turn, for the purposes of registration, admission and exhibition of the participating works, the general categories of two-dimensional works have been established, such as drawing, painting, photography, graphic arts, graphic design, collage and textiles. While the category of three-dimensional works such as sculpture, fire arts and assemblages is also considered; and the line of New Media such as installations, video art, digital art and body arts.

Regarding the size of the pieces, two-dimensional works will have a maximum space of 3m x 2m and three-dimensional works of 2m x 2m x 2m, while the weight must not exceed 100kg in any of their presentations.

The reception period will run from April 6 to May 22, 2026, Monday to Friday during office hours at the Museum of Culture of Carabobo, as well as at various cultural venues in the states of Anzoátegui, Aragua, Barinas, Bolívar, Capital District, Falcón, Guárico, Lara, Mérida, Monagas, Sucre and Zulia.

In the same way, proposals or projects must be sent to the email [email protected], while works of video art or digital art must be delivered on a USB memory stick.
