Carabobo will host the 2025 Venezuelan Theater Festival

The Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025, which will take place from August 28 to 31, will be headquartered in the state of Carabobo, in which various groups will participate in different stages of the entity with free admission for the public.

During a press conference held in the María Luisa Escobar room of the Valencia Art Museum (MUVA), regional cultural authorities, together with performing arts producers and artists, announced that this event in Carabobo will be held in homage to the iconic actor and director of the tables Jesús Mercado.

In this regard, the Secretary of Culture of Carabobo, Nathaly Bustamante, emphasized that thanks to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this event will take place throughout the country and its communal circuits, and stressed that Carabobo will have as stages the Municipal Theater of Valencia, the MUVA, the Harlequin Theater and in the community of Ciudad Plaza in the Miguel Peña parish.

The program will begin next Thursday, August 28, with a day of theatrical cartography, training workshops and will continue with the presentations of plays for the general public, children, puppet performances, among others.

Friday, August 29, will be the formal opening of the “Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025”, at the Municipal Theater of Valencia at 3:00pm, then at 6:00pm there will be the ImproDesafio Show in the Alfredo Sadel Theater square. Later, at 8 pm, Miguel Espejo will perform with “La Cantadera” in this same space.

The activities continue on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. with La Tarasca Puppets and the play “The Baker” at the MUVA. In the same way, at 4:00pm, the play “The Flea and the Louse” will be presented at the Harlequin Theater ”. Also, starting at 5:00pm, Puppets Panelin will be in the Alfredo Sadel square, while the “Show Bigmimo” performance will take place at the Harlequin Theater. Later, starting at 6:00pm, the Show of the Dwarves and the José Ignacio Cabrujas Theater Ensemble will be presented in the spaces of the MUVA.

On Sunday, August 31, at 11:00 a.m., the groups Zanni Teatro and Por Teatro Píteres will be at the MUVA to recreate the public. While at 3:00pm there will be the Lunatic Show at the Harlequin Theater, and starting at 4:00pm at the Municipal Theater of Valencia, there will be the staging of the plays “The House of Bernarda Alba” and a dramatized reading of “Jump Back”.
