The Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, this Thursday, April 23, argued that the sanctions and coercive measures promoted by the extremist right were aimed at harming the Venezuelan people in order to demoralize them.
“So that when the people were summoned they would not react and today those people still say not to lift the sanctions against Venezuela,” he stressed.
He emphasized that “today the people, mobilized with more morals every day, demand that Venezuela be free and able to fly free.”
In that sense, he said that “it was a plan set up against our country, some bad sons and some bad daughters from Venezuela who went around the world to ask for sanctions against Venezuela (...) and they said that they should sanction Diosdado, the other and the other that this does not reach the People, but in truth they were against our People.”
“In addition to calling for an end to sanctions, we tell the world that this is a territory of peace. The sanctions were the work of chance,” he emphasized in Portuguese at the Minor Basilica, National Shrine of the Virgin of Coromoto, as part of the Great National Pilgrimage for a Venezuela without Sanctions,
Regarding the rally, he said that “nice demonstration. Nobody tires here, the fight will be hard, it will be long, but it will be our fight to live in peace and freedom.”
In addition, Cabello gave a brief summary of his activities in Portuguese, on the occasion of the National Pilgrimage, such as the Meeting with productive sectors, the Arauca coffee roaster and processor.
