Chancellor Gil: April 23-24 the Venezuela-Colombia Friendship Commission will meet

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPRE), Yván Gil, announced that a meeting of the Venezuela-Colombia Binational Friendship Commission will be held on April 23 and 24 in the city of Maracaibo in the state of Zulia.
At the end of a meeting between ministers from the two countries to establish working groups in important strategic areas, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister thanked the Government of the Republic of Colombia and its president, Gustavo Petro, for sending the delegation with “which we have been in session all day today addressing various issues”.
He stressed that “we are committed to working in coordination in various areas (...) based on the true union and spirit of Colombia la Grande, which was born in Angostura (...) It has been an important and successful day.”
For her part, Colombian Foreign Minister Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio added that “the meeting was very fruitful and we are grateful to the Government of Venezuela where we have been able to move forward and will have the binational neighborhood meeting soon to move towards integration and economic and social projects for the benefit of both peoples.”
