Chancellor Gil: The Venezuelan Government and People express deep gratitude for international support

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government and the Venezuelan People, expressed deep gratitude for the support and solidarity with several countries, including Cuba, Colombia, Peru and Brazil.

In this regard, in his account on the social network Telegram, Gil stated that “on behalf of the Bolivarian Government and the Venezuelan people, we express our deep gratitude for the warm and fraternal message of solidarity sent by our sister Cuba through Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez.”

“Cuba, always ready to provide its support in the most difficult moments, has once again demonstrated unwavering solidarity. We greatly value the valuable work of Cuban citizens in our country and their commitment to the well-being of our nation,” he said.

He also said that he received “a call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio, who has expressed a message of solidarity with all the Venezuelan people at this difficult time.”

“In response, we have conveyed our sincerest gratitude, both from the Government and the people of Venezuela, for their heartfelt words and valuable support,” he said.

Gil also thanked “sincerely” the expression of solidarity that has come to us from Peru through his Foreign Ministry in these delicate moments for our nation. Venezuela continues to work together and with determination to safeguard lives and overcome this tragedy.”

On the other hand, he mentioned thanking “the government of the Federative Republic of Brazil for its message of solidarity. The Venezuelan government has activated the General Staff with the objective of saving lives and protecting the population.”

On his social network, the foreign minister stressed that “Venezuela is grateful for Belize's solidarity in the face of the earthquakes that have occurred in our nation. These are difficult times for our people and the brotherhood of our nations is more necessary.”

In another message, he stressed: “The government of Venezuela is grateful for the solidarity of the Chilean government due to the strong earthquakes that have affected a large part of the country. At this time, the General Staff activated by President Delcy Rodriguez will be attending to and channeling rescue and support efforts to the affected population.”

“Venezuela expresses its deep gratitude to the Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia for its good wishes and solidarity in the face of the strong earthquakes that occurred in our country. The Government of Venezuela has activated a General Staff to coordinate the rescue and protection efforts of the affected population,” he said.
