Members of the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations Corps (CICPC), who were highlighted in the municipal delegation of Ciudad Guayana, Bolivar state, were able to arrest three individuals for trafficking in persons.

According to information published by the director general of this police force, Douglas Rico, the arrest took place in the Guaiparito sector, Avenida Dalla Costa, Simón Bolívar parish, San Félix, Caroní municipality.

The detainees were identified as: Yanin Yuleni Corona Hernández, Miguel José De Paola Valdéz and José Nehemia Guillen Brito, who “dedicated themselves to recruiting minors through various digital platforms and after posing as their friends, they summoned them to places in the different areas of Puerto Ordaz and San Félix. Once present in the agreed places, they forced the minors to maintain intimate relationships with strangers,” said the official.

He also added that “once the crime was committed, they recorded intimate content for them, to later be marketed on the different websites, thus obtaining benefits to the detriment of the victims.”
