Hundreds of Bolivarenses joined the great caravan of the “Victory Tour” this Sunday, which brought to Ciudad Bolivar the cup won by the Venezuelan national team in the recent World Baseball Classic.

The Cup arrived in this capital through the Marhuanta Toll Gate of the “Simon Bolivar” Highway, which connects this capital with the neighboring Guayana City.

There she was received by the governor of the entity, Yulisbeth García, the mayor of Angostura del Orinoco, Sergio Hernández, and hundreds of residents of the populous Marhuanta parish.

Immediately, a tour of the different popular areas and historic center of Ciudad Bolívar began, during which more and more residents joined.

“The people are on the street receiving the Victory Tour, with this cup that fills us with joy and pride, because more than a trophy it is the symbol of the perseverance, effort and talent of our athletes who have carried the name of Venezuela to the top,” said Mayor Hernández.

For his part, Garcia indicated that the people of Bolívar remember with emotion the night when the national team defeated the United States team 3 races to 2, a victory that was celebrated both by the Venezuelan people but also by many fans throughout Latin America and the world.

The Governor noted that the cup route covered the most important and busiest popular, tourist and cultural spots in Ciudad Bolívar, ending at Plaza Bolívar in the center of the historic center of the old Angostura del Orinoco.

There, attendees had the opportunity to take pictures next to the cup and share their emotions and experiences regarding this great achievement of Venezuelan baseball.
