Corpoelec and local government continue operations to restore electricity service in Ocumare de la Costa

In an articulated effort between the Government, the Working Force of CORPOELEC Aragua and the mayor's office of Ocumare de la Costa de Oro, a special operation was deployed this Tuesday to review the power lines of the Henri Pittier National Park, specifically in the circuit that supplies the coastal municipality.

The mayor of the municipality, Wilmer Leal, reported that, as part of this deployment, three overflights were carried out in the area (in the morning, noon and late afternoon) with the support of the helicopter of the Area Care System of the Bolivarian Government of Aragua (SAAGBA), with the objective of locating the fault affecting the service. However, due to the poor weather conditions present during the day, it was not possible to see the exact point of the fault in the section between the La Cumbre sector and tower number 34, where there are still six towers to be inspected from the air, details a press release.

Simultaneously, a commission of technical personnel was activated and carried out a walking tour from the town of Cumboto to tower 37, managing to rule out faults in that specific section.

Faced with this situation, the municipal president reported that the inspection and search for the fault will continue in the morning of next Wednesday, July 22, starting at 6:00 a.m., focusing on the most difficult to access section, where it is presumed that the main fault could be found.

“We are still deployed with all the teams and the support of regional institutions to provide a prompt solution to our neighbors. We call on the community to take precautions for the continuity of work in the mountainous area,” he said, while calling on the community to remain calm and take precautions.
