The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) carried out a series of technical improvements to the distribution network to benefit more than 11,000 inhabitants of the island entity. The maneuvers covered the municipalities of Tubores, Díaz, García and the Macanao Peninsula in Nueva Esparta in order to increase supply stability.

The information was provided by the Ministry of People's Power for Electric Energy in a press release detailing that the work was concentrated on the section that connects the Juan Bautista Arismendi Thermoelectric Plant with the Las Hernández and Boca de Rio substations. This deployment is part of a strategic plan to provide a more efficient service.

The technical team replaced ceramic insulators with polymer technology, materials that have greater resistance to adverse weather conditions in the area. This update makes the system less vulnerable to natural phenomena such as strong winds and heavy rains.

Among the favored sectors are Robledal, Boca de Pozo, El Espinal, Las Guevaras, Villa Zoita and Francisco de Miranda Urban Planning. Improvements were also registered in the communities of Chacachacares, San Francisco, Las Hernández and Conuco Viejo, among other neighboring towns.
