Cuba calls Trump's statements against UN founding principles offensive

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, denounced that the attacks constitute a direct aggression against the founding principles of the United Nations (UN), within the framework of statements made by the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump about the organization.
Through his official account on network X, Rodríguez Parrilla stated that the attack of the American president represents an attack on the essence of the UN as the most universal and democratic international organization.
He also pointed out that Trump's statements ignore the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, in particular the concept of sovereign equality between States.
In the midst of the debate at the United Nations General Assembly, US President Donald Trump once again criticized the multilateral organization, questioning its role in international politics.
Trump in a speech full of attacks against multilateralism, the Latin American and Caribbean region, and migrants, whom he described as an “illegal foreign invasion”.
The president's speech was marked by a confrontational tone, he insisted on blaming the UN for “financing the massive influx of criminals” and claiming his rule as a supposed “golden age” for the United States.
