Cuba rejects US attempt to strip Venezuela of the company CITGO

The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed the rejection of his Government and the Cuban people against the attempted dispossession that the United States is implementing against Venezuela through the company CITGO.

In a message posted on his account on the social network X, the President of the largest of the Antilles demanded the immediate cessation of all unilateral coercive measures that illegally fall on Venezuela and reiterated Cuba's solidarity with the Bolivarian nation.


This statement was joined by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, who today reaffirmed the complaint about the complicity of judicial, economic and political institutions of the United States in their attempts to strip the Venezuelan People and State of the company CITGO.

“We reiterate unwavering solidarity with sister Venezuela and demand the total lifting of unilateral coercive measures that undermine the normal functioning of its economy,” wrote the foreign minister on his account on the social network X.

Earlier, the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela confirmed that it will continue to adopt all political, diplomatic and legal measures at its disposal to avoid the consummation of the definitive dispossession of the company CITGO.
