Daniel Román is crowned champion in K1 200m and wins another gold for Venezuela in Santo Domingo 2026

Venezuelan athlete Daniel Román won the gold medal in the men's K1 200-meter individual speed boating event, at the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo 2026.

Román imposed his power to cross the finish line in first place 37.00, followed by the Mexican Mauricio Figueroa at 37.11 and by the Cuban Geduar Gonzalez at 37.78.

This is the second gold medal for Román after the one won with Ulises González, Ray Acuña and Cristian Canache, in speed boating in the men's K4 500 meters event.
