The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Thursday the execution of the new
Hydrocarbons Law, following the signing of a Framework Agreement and a
Technical-Financial Alliance with the transnational Shell to boost hydrocarbon production in the country.
During the activity, Rodríguez recalled that Shell has been in
Venezuela since 1914, “but I was remembering and I think it was before Shell
arrived in Lake Guanopo. So we are very pleased to reach these
agreements with Shell in the area of gas and oil.”
He stressed that with these cooperation initiatives “we are already
giving life and execution to the new Hydrocarbons Law with new
business models (...) The synergy that Venezuela can have with other countries of the world for the
benefit of its country and its people.”
He also stressed that this demonstrates “that Venezuela has highly trained
workers, high-ranking professionals in their performance
to carry out all the challenges that our country needs.”
