As part of the diplomatic agenda between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the United States (USA) in a climate of respect, understanding and agreements for the benefit of peoples, the Secretary of the Department of the Interior of the North American country and president of the National Energy Domain Council, Doug Burgum, is received by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, for the second consecutive day for a new working meeting.

This high-level meeting plans to review aspects related to the energy agenda, as announced this Wednesday after the end of its first meeting at the Miraflores Palace, with all the authorities involved.

Burgum, who is accompanied by more than 20 private sector companies related to mining, proposes to address issues related to mining, metallic and strategic minerals, as well as investment flows and new technologies for the development of the sector.

President Rodríguez considers this binational collaboration important. Among its announcements is the draft reform of the Mining Law before the National Assembly (AN). This proposal seeks to replicate the model of recent approval of the Hydrocarbons Law under a “win-win” relationship, ensuring the promotion of Venezuela's national development.
