Delcy Rodríguez: This year 2026 we have extraordinary GDP growth projections

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that this year 2026, significant
growth in the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is projected, thanks to the
strengthening of productive engines to satisfy the domestic market and for exports.
During a tour of the Pacific Seafood CA
fish processing plant, located in the parish of Santa Inés de Cumaná, in
the state of Sucre, Rodríguez highlighted the importance of production and
export for Venezuela to receive foreign exchange. “It's a way to defeat the economic
blockade,” he said.
He highlighted that, in terms of fishing and aquaculture, the country
registered growth of approximately 6% of GDP in the year 2025. “In the
first two months of the year (...) we are 23% higher than in 2025.”
“I have also been talking with the president of the Central
Bank of Venezuela, who has given me good news for the final closing
of the year 2025, a positive end to economic growth for
Venezuela, and this year 2026 we also have extraordinary projections of GDP
growth (...) in this case, to guarantee food in our people,” he emphasized.
