The Department of Culture of the state of Apure, together with the mayor's office of San Fernando de Apure and the Joropo Estripe Llanero Foundation, has launched a training program to preserve and promote joropo, music and dance in the region.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the workshops are specifically designed to teach and promote joropo among new generations, in order to ensure the continuity of this cultural manifestation in the entity.

The activities began in the Monte de Zion Community, where a group of 25 children and young people receive specialized training. For a full month, participants will learn the fundamentals of this musical style, which include both instrumental performance and traditional choreography.

The training program will culminate in the month of October with a special event on the José Alí Nieves cultural stage, where students will publicly demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired during the learning process.

This final presentation will not only serve as a showcase of local talent, but it will also strengthen the sense of cultural identity among participants and spectators, reaffirming the commitment of municipal authorities to the preservation of San Fernando's intangible cultural heritage.
