Deputy Gil: AN advances in the investigation of organizations and parties for the theft of CITGO

The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Willian Gil, highlighted that the Legislative Branch is making progress in investigations into organizations and political parties, aimed at determining responsibility for the theft and dispossession of the state oil company CITGO.

In the program Café en La Mañana, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he pointed out that the AN has the competence to investigate and call each of those involved, as well as to collect the evidence and present it to the Public Ministry.

He pointed out that the objective “is to do justice for so much crime that they have committed against our country.”

Gil also reported that this week they will deliver, to the president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, the final report, “we hope that after submitting all the evidence to the MP, the judicial proceedings will begin because the people are already asking for it, and we must do justice.”

He also said that he hopes the Organic Law on the Extinction of Dominion will be applied and recalled that those who obtain stolen funds and drug trafficking financing will not be able to participate in lawful political activities.

The parliamentarian denounced that the political parties of some sectors of the Venezuelan opposition want to continue taking advantage of the Venezuelan oil and oil industry (PDVSA ), to finance their political organizations.
