On the occasion of the security deployment of Easter 2026, 37 land terminals were prioritized throughout the country, for which additional transport units were enabled, to allow all seasonal workers to arrive at their destinations without problems, said the Deputy Minister of Prevention, Public Security and Peace Quadrants, Endes Palencia.
In the program Café en la Mañana, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he explained that this measure was applied after the collapse of a terrestrial terminal. “Action mechanisms were established to enable additional transport vehicles, so that people can go to their corresponding destination without any setbacks,” he said.
He recalled that “there are more than 100 authorized terrestrial terminals nationwide, but of those 110, only 37 are prioritized.”
The Deputy Minister stressed that toxicological tests are carried out in terrestrial terminals, which are applied at random. In the event that any driver shows positive results, appropriate support is provided.
On the other hand, he urged drivers of private vehicles to carry out a mechanical inspection of their vehicles before starting a trip, in order to avoid traffic accidents.
He also recommended that motorcyclists wear a full-face helmet and suggested strict compliance with road speed limits, in addition to avoiding alcohol consumption prior to driving.
Regarding churches, he said that there is the Directorate of Crime Prevention, to protect the safety of the large number of parishioners who come to temples during the Major Week.
At this point, he reported that 256 religious temples have been prioritized in the country as part of the Security Operation Holy Week 2026, in which more than 220,000 officials are serving the Venezuelan people.
He explained that Civil Protection authorities remain alert to the phenomenon of social decline affecting the nation.
On the other hand, he reaffirmed that 3,512 checkpoints and 419 awareness-raising classrooms are available in the national territory for the holiday of Major Week.
