Deputy Minister Villapol highlights media deployment in the Popular Consultation 2026

The Deputy Minister of Communication Management, Gustavo Villapol, highlighted the national deployment of media activated this Sunday during the National Popular Consultation 2026, a day in which communities select investment projects in their territories.
Villapol highlighted the articulation of public, private, alternative and community media across the country. “There are more than 300 radio stations connected nationally in this operation,” he said, referring to information monitoring from educational centers and community spaces.
The Deputy Minister indicated that the National Public Media System maintains continuous coverage to accompany the process and guarantee real-time information to citizens.
After the closing of the day, Villapol stressed that the day highlighted that the people ratify that they exercise sovereignty in their land stood out.
“Today the people demonstrated it with an extraordinary mobilization and dedicated it to themselves, through their own resistance,” he said.
He asserted that this election holiday was dedicated to the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, but also to the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, and to the first lady, Cilia Flores. “From there [the United States] they saw this whole day” framed in the political project of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, he said.
