The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Tania Díaz, urged all parents to be alert and to know what type of content their children are watching through social networks, and she also insisted that no one should be passive in the face of digital communication.
“If your child is watching YouTube or interacting on social networks, you have to monitor what they were watching, talk to them face to face, so that this network interaction is responsible,” said Díaz, during his radio program Sin Truco Ni Maña.
In that sense, he called on parents to be alert with YouTube Kids because they portray people as cartoons with content supposedly for children and are sending very dangerous messages. “They send messages with sexual content, which generate depression, anxiety, and even take away their desire to live,” he emphasized.
“Let's not leave our kids alone, we're going to talk to them, find out what they like, don't leave them stuck on social networks for so long,” he said.
