Diocese of Guanare presented liturgical agenda for 374 years of the Virgin of Coromoto

From the Minor Basilica National Sanctuary of Guanare, the Diocese, together with regional authorities and security agencies, presented the official program to commemorate the 374th anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin of Coromoto, the 74th anniversary of her Canonical Coronation as Patron Saint of Venezuela and the beginning of the Coromotano Jubilee Year 2026-2027. Monsignor Oswaldo Araque emphasized that the agenda will be focused on spiritual recollection, prayer and charitable works, without festive celebrations.

The solemnities will begin with the novena from August 29 to September 6, followed by the central mass in Quebrada de la Virgen on September 7 at 5:00 p.m., and the subsequent procession with the relic to the Sanctuary. The agenda will continue on Tuesday, September 8, with the Dawn Mass at 6:00 a.m. Meanwhile, on September 11, the day of the Canonical Coronation, the main Eucharist will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by the Diocese of Acarigua-Araure.

To protect the integrity of the parishioners during the Marian events, the governor of the Portuguese state, Primitivo Cedeño, confirmed the deployment of more than nine thousand security personnel along the concentration points and religious itineraries, which will prioritize public order and medical assistance to attend to the influx of pilgrims.
