This Wednesday, June 17, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, paid tribute to the revolutionary leader Darío Vivas, on the occasion of his birth on June 12, 1950.
“A popular fighter, revolutionary militant, leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, who dedicated his life to the consolidation of Bolivarian Socialism,” he emphasized.
During his Con El Mazo Dando program, on broadcast number 574, he stated that “Darío is an example” and recalled several anecdotes he experienced with Vivas in the revolutionary struggle, such as the fact of the repression with a “whale” bought by the then mayor Antonio Ledezma, against people who were demanding their right to health and life “and Darío was there in the front row”.
He argued that Darío Vivas “died on the street, went out to fight COVID and unfortunately COVID took him away.”
