Diosdado Cabello described the National Popular Consultation as beautiful

This Monday, March 9th, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, described as beautiful the National Popular Consultation that took place over the weekend throughout the country.

“It has been a beautiful activity of Consultation with the People's Power for community projects and we were filled with satisfaction. We had given some tasks, some goals and the results are there; we have passed historic votes in the Consultations,” he said during the PSUV press conference.

He also stressed that this is possible thanks to the fact that “that 'Commune or Nothing' proposal made by Commander Chávez, that proposal made by President Nicolás Maduro began with the Consultations so that the People decide where they are going to invest their resources, was created on a solid basis, because they are constituted in Popular Power, in giving recognition to our people to take decisions”.

For this reason, he affirmed that in Venezuela there is a true “participatory and leading democracy”. At the same time, he reaffirmed that today the Popular Consultation, which began as “an idea, in the beginning, is now an established, strengthened and increasingly consolidated method”.
