Diosdado Cabello from Mérida: We are going to take this country forward all together!

The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, confirmed this Tuesday the need to continue building “a new police force closer to the people”.

From the state of Mérida, during the adaptation of the Peace Quadrants in the entity, Cabello stressed that she has to be a “more dedicated” police force, and recalled what police officers were like during the Fourth Republic. “You lived in a town, you lived in a neighborhood and a patrol came and everyone would run,” he recalled.

In this regard, he pointed out that, “today, when they see an alcabala, the people have to feel that their friends are there, there are the people who care for them, who protect them, who are the same (...) That's why I say that they (the police) have to go through school and that the children feel the police officer nearby”.

Finally, it ratified the unity of the country 's security forces. “The state and municipal police, the Bolivarian National Police, the SEBIN, the DGCIN, all the agencies of the State working together (...) United, this country, we are going to carry it forward all together!”
