The
general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello
Rondón, rejected the exclusion of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua from the Summit of the
Americas, in the Dominican Republic, and described the president of that country, Luis Abinader, as a mobster.
“This is not the Summit
of the Americas, it's anything else (...) a missing country is no longer the Summit
of the Americas. And it's not that they lack because they want to, but the one they
consider,” Cabello lashed during the usual weekly press conference of
the red awning.
He pointed out that “the
most gangster of all the presidents of Rio Grande here is Abinader.
There's nothing I'm not involved in,” while he stressed that Washington made the decision
to exclude these three countries from compliance. “They gave him the order:
'leave out Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua. ' We've already seen that film,”
he said.
However,
he stressed that this decision “will not stop either the Cuban Revolution or the
Nicaraguan Revolution or the Bolivarian Revolution.”
