During his program Con el Mazo Dand o, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, specified that in terms of security, Venezuela currently records 2.43 crimes per 100,000 inhabitants.

“These are totally tangible, true numbers, not lies. I don't think Italy and Switzerland are like Venezuela. In Italy and Switzerland, they steal anyone's phone on the street,” he said during broadcast number 565.

On the other hand, he emphasized that the Amnesty Law “is a power of the Bolivarian Revolution.”

In that regard, he noted that the Special Commission for Monitoring the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence has received 123 requests from Venezuelans abroad and after verification, only 27 had judicial requests, “the rest is pure straw.”

He highlighted that many claim that they left Venezuela because they are being politically persecuted, “no one is persecuting you, you pay what you owe, to your neighbor, to the council, to whoever you want, but don't declare that you are being politically persecuted. These are opponents.”

“Now there are 35 who have police records for choros, that's another thing, for marijuana users, for selling drugs, for being corrupt,” he said.

He stressed that those who want the benefits of the Amnesty Law should be put to law, while criticizing that some are defending drug traffickers and terrorists; “they think you're an idiot,” he said.

As an example, he mentioned those who defend those involved in Operation Gideon. “They are not political prisoners, they are terrorists (...) they were going to kill a crowd. They are not deserving of an Amnesty Law,” he stressed.

“They are defending drug traffickers,” he warned and recalled that in the state of Zulia “the chicken bottle from the passage of drugs that came from Colombia has run out, because we broke the logistical apparatus in which mayors participated, including mayors elected with the vote of Chavism. We're not hiding anything here.”
