Regarding the approval of the Law for the Promotion and Promotion of Cocoa in the National Assembly (AN), the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, stressed that the country has the best cocoa and coffee in the world.

“The Law for the Promotion and Promotion of Cocoa was approved, a law that gives specific weight to one of the largest productive sectors in the country, which is cocoa. Historically, cacao has had that strength. And Venezuela has, say those who know the subject, the best cocoa in the world; it is produced in Venezuelan territory,” he said during the PSUV press conference.

He stressed that in European countries, chocolate that “says it has a percentage of Venezuelan cocoa, gives it added value, gives it the prestige of Venezuela; occupying the spaces that correspond to it in production.”

He also described the entire process of approving the Act as beautiful, since it involved the participation of producers. At the same time, he specified that the Law on the Protection of Livestock Activity also entered into the first discussion.

“This is how we are moving forward, because we are updating the laws that we need to update. Like coffee, coffee from Venezuela is the best coffee in the world. And who is stealing it? And they spend it on a mule (...) The best coffee in the world is produced here in Venezuela,” he said.

In addition, he took the opportunity to laughingly clarify that the arepa is Venezuelan. “She's not from anywhere else, she's Venezuelan, the others who stand in line, we lend it to her, we have no problem with that, but she's Venezuelan, ” she said.
