This Monday, March 23, the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that the People came out to demand the lifting of sanctions against our country.

“All the people of Venezuela are demanding the lifting of sanctions (...) it's because without a doubt that will help all of Venezuela,” he said, stressing that this demand of the People accompanies the same thing that they have been demanding of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez.

Cabello reaffirmed that with the lifting of sanctions, it will be possible to better address the issue of “health, education, the issue of salaries, the issue of electricity, roads, all problems could be addressed much better and directly if Venezuela did not have the sanctions it has.”

He stressed that with the lifting of sanctions, the issue of housing for the People could also be resumed. “ That's why today we went out to accompany our people (...) to send a message to the world that sanctions must be lifted in Venezuela,” he said.

He also described as absurd these sanctions applied by the government of the United States, the European Union and other countries that have joined these actions “against a people who want to work”.
