The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recalled the actions that the leadership of the Bolivarian Revolution has used on several occasions to promote peace and reconciliation in the country in the face of the violent agenda of opposition extremism.

“If anyone here has prevented a war, we are the Chavistas. It has always been us, the dead ones, most of the time we , the Chavism, have played them since April 11, because they repeat the same script (...) and we have had to turn our cheeks on several occasions,” he said.

During the 565 broadcast of his Con El Mazo Dando program, he recalled the number of occasions when the Bolivarian Government, first with Hugo Chávez, then with Nicolás Maduro and now with the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, has executed measures of forgiveness against people linked to acts of political violence and conspiracies.

“After the coup of April 11 (2002), any government, when it returned to power, would end everything, but Hugo Chávez went out with this Christ, asked for forgiveness, for things for which he did not have to ask for forgiveness, and called for dialogue. Nothing happened in this country, thanks to Commander Hugo Chávez, ” he said.

In the same way, he praised the capacity for dialogue and peace, demonstrated in difficult circumstances on the part of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who, despite having been the subject of assassination with drones during a public event, issued pardons in 2020 and subsequently maintained this policy, as demonstrated by the releases promoted in December 2025.

Amnesty Law is the power of the Revolution

Regarding the recent Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, he stressed that it is a new step in the Bolivarian Revolution to guarantee peace and stability in the country, while regretting that actors of opposing extremism remain engaged in thinking and action contrary to the laws.

He questioned that, among the requests made to be favored by this Law, there are sectors of extremism that present names of people linked to drug trafficking, terrorism and corruption.

“Those in Operation Gideon are not political prisoners, they are terrorists (...) they were going to kill a crowd. They are not deserving of an Amnesty Law ,” he emphasized.

Regarding Venezuelans who are abroad, he specified that out of 123 requests submitted, only 27 had a file, while 35 “have a police record for choros, for marijuana users, for selling drugs, for being corrupt.”

He clarified that the remaining people, who number 61, do not hold any position within the country, so he asked them to stop calling themselves “politically persecuted”.

“Nobody is persecuting you, pay what you owe, to your neighbor, to the council, to whoever you want, but don't declare that you are being politically persecuted,” he demanded.

There is no turning back this Revolution

In reference to the campaign launched by the longline movement and leaders of opposition extremism to mark the end of the Bolivarian Revolution, the psuvist leader urged them to stop deceiving the few militants who still believe them.

“They are peeling balls if they think that the Revolution is going to end,” he pointed out and warned that the only thing that could happen in the country is the radicalization of the process.

“They're peeling balls, they're doing a miscalculation, there's no going back,” he said.

Lift the sanctions!

The also Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, reiterated the call for the lifting of all sanctions against Venezuela, as requested by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, as part of the new phase of relations between the Venezuelan Government and the U.S. administration.

He argued that the end of the sanctions would allow the Government to recover the attention capacity of the Venezuelan people, allowing the return to the prosperous era achieved during the presidency of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, who was hit by the sanctions imposed since 2014 after the decree issued against Venezuela by the then President of the United States, Barack Obama.

“Since that decree so far, all the presidents who have passed through the United States have dedicated themselves to attacking Venezuela,” he stressed.

Simonovis is a coyote

Finally, the Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, warned Venezuelans abroad, especially in the United States, not to be victims of the new scam led by the fugitive from justice Iván Somonovis, offering an alleged document for the asylum request before the court in the North American nation.

“The guy publicly says 'idiots come to me, I wait for you to scam you, trust me'”, he ironized while drawing attention to the fact that Simonovis himself has failed to legalize his status in the United States .

“He has to show up and he's volunteering, and that, to help, that's pure scam!” , he warned.
