The doctor in human behavior, Erick Rodríguez Mierez, rejected the control that hyperconglomerates exercise over digital platforms to generate a conditioned reflection, a mechanism based on the constant repetition of opinion matrices to distort reality.
“The conditioned reflex is consecutive repetition, which is skinnerism... That is, you repeat, repeat, repeat... It's like saying trial-error, you repeat, but they use combinations,” said Rodríguez.
In turn, he mentioned that through the telephone, reality is distorted immediately, which does not allow time to react and ends up emotionally “labializing (destabilizing)” many people.
During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he clarified that not all people are victims of these practices, since vulnerability depends to a large extent on the level of mental strength and individual training to discern the content being consumed.
“Not everyone is fed by what appears there. It depends on the level of strength you have to receive information. If your training allows you to use logic and reasoning, you say: 'That's it, let me search'. Then you move on to reasoning.”
Rodríguez explained that reasoning involves constructing arguments to contrast information: “No, this is a lie, it was created by artificial intelligence.” Finally, he emphasized that those who take the time to investigate end up discarding fake news, understanding that behind it there is a clear intentionality.
