Education Minister oversaw the improvements of the EU Herminia Mijares in Caracas

The Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez, oversaw the rehabilitation and expansion of the Herminia Mijares Educational Unit, located in the Tiuna City urban area of Caracas.

According to information issued by the Ministry of Education, the refurbishment of this institution was prioritized by the neighbors in the National Popular Consultation of February 2025.

In this regard, he explained that the Bolivarian Government took on the construction of a new module, “this school that we are doing managed to recover a module in the first consultation last year. However, when we came to inspect the project, we spoke on the phone with President Nicolás Maduro and he told us: use the resources of the Popular Consultation to recover the old structure and we are going to make a new module for it.”

The new EU Herminia Mijares module will have two levels and six classrooms, aimed at strengthening the care capacity of the campus and ensuring adequate, safe and decent environments for the comprehensive training of the institution's boys and girls.
