According to the latest report by the rescue and emergency care authorities in Japan, 560 people have been injured and approximately 211 people have disappeared after the earthquake that occurred last January 1st in that country. The majority of those killed by the earthquake occurred in the towns of Wajima and Suzu and currently number 128 people.
According to RT, search and rescue tasks are being focused on Wajima and Suzu to find the more than 200 missing. The authorities say that the tasks are becoming difficult due to the snowfall and the cold that are taking place this Sunday in the areas. The front has caused low visibility and an even greater worsening of the situation of the roads connecting the Noto Peninsula to Ishikawa, the area hardest hit by the earthquake and whose infrastructures have been extensively damaged, making it extremely difficult to access basic supplies and rescue equipment.
