EMILIO MICHINEAUX IS ASSASSINATED BY ARMED GANGS OF DEMOCRATIC ACTION

  • On August 10, 1967, the 23-year-old leader Emilio Segundo Michineaux Ayala was shot to death in the city. El Bosque, from Caracas, by armed bands of Democratic Action (AD) and agents of the General Directorate of Police (DIGEPOL).
  • Emilio Michineaux “Commander César” was located by a commission of supporters and police officers in the city. El Bosque, near Chacaíto, leaving a meeting.
  • Upon hearing the loud voice, he tried to run to evade the aggression of the Digepoles and was massacred on the floor when he slipped.
  • His relatives managed to rescue the body and he was buried in the Maturín General Cemetery.
  • Michineaux Ayala was a native of Maturín, Edo. Monagas was born on July 4, 1944, graduating from Liceo José Miguel Sanz with a bachelor's degree in humanities.
  • He was one of the students who were about to be shot by the paramilitary gangs of AD during the Sanz High School Massacre.
  • In that savage armed robbery, he witnessed the brutal death to which his fellow students Rafael Guerra and Alberto César Millán were subjected, at the hands of agents of the government of Rómulo Betancourt.
  • After graduating, he traveled to Caracas, where he studied at the Industrial Technical School (ETI) of Los Chaguaramos, joining the Youth of the Communist Party of Venezuela.
  • He later joined the ranks of the Party of the Venezuelan Revolution (PRV), where he lived in politics with Fabricio Aristiguieta, Fernando Vera Vethancourt and Claudio Farías, who were massacred a month later by agents of the government of Raúl Leoni.
  • In both cases, all these young leaders were betrayed by a traitor who served as the head of the political unit of the PVR to which they belonged: Adolfo Meinhart Lares, a whistleblower at the service of DIGEPOL.
  • The above-mentioned double agent Meinhart Lares was in turn an infiltrator of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He managed to leave the country with special safe passage from the government to Brazil, finally living in Madrid until the end of his days.
  • He was one of those responsible for the destruction of left-wing movements and causing the death of dozens of people affiliated with these revolutionary tendencies.
