The sector vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the potential of the Falconian territory, not only in terms of production, but also in terms of tourism.

“Here the potential is enormous and you have to take advantage of it; the tourist theme is transversal, because when tourism comes, tourists come and tourists eat, but they also stay to rest and consume; then tourists come here and take good care of them and from here they go back to their people to tell their experience and they will multiply it wherever they go,” he said during a meeting with productive sectors in the state of Falcón, as part of the second phase of the Pilgrimage National.

He stressed how important it is not only that they come to take cocuy or any other Pecaya product, but that “they tell other people to come too and that even has to do with training”. In turn, he highlighted the cuisine of the Falcón state, which is also extraordinary.

In addition, Cabello reaffirmed the potential of peasants, stressing that if they were to be isolated from the world, their communities continue to advance, “because they are brothers, they know each other, they produce the food that is fundamental”.

“They produce goat's milk, meat, cheese (...) this town is extraordinary, they're not going to get a bad face from anyone here, people are dedicated to their work,” he said, noting that even vegetables come out of this territory for Lara.

In that regard, he reaffirmed that no one from Caracas, or from any other part of the country, will come to teach the peasants to do their job. “They are the ones who know; so what they need is the minimum tools,” he said, stressing that one of the fundamental issues to be addressed is that of seeds such as those of coffee and cocoa.
