This Thursday, May 28, the
sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed his
commitment to seeking solutions for the issue of water in the area of La Sierra in Falcón state.
“The issue of water is recurring and even more so if the water that they give to other sectors comes from
here. And then we don't have water here?
We must seek a solution to that problem, to address that problem,” said
Cabello during a meeting with sectors, as part of the second phase of the National
Pilgrimage.
He questioned the fact that the inhabitants
cannot agree to clean a well that supplies water, “because a
bureaucrat says no”, stressing that no one can come from Caracas
or anywhere else to teach how to take care of their territory.
He also stressed that this is one of the most important
productive areas in the Falconian entity. “Food comes from here
for several states, from here from this mountain range with the limitations they have had
all this time,” he acknowledged.
He reaffirmed that
this is a privileged area thanks to its population, which, “has had the virtue,
the great virtue of being responsible that you walk on, that you love, you
love this territory, because it is not easy to have the opportunity to go
somewhere else, to stay here and to produce under the conditions, sometimes the worst
conditions”.
For this reason, he emphasized that he takes all the proposals and observations provided by the People of Falcón, “on things that should work better (...) what can be done we will do”.
