The Falkland Islands Ex-Combatant Center (CECIM) in La Plata, Buenos Aires, reported that the far-right government of Javier Milei intends to hand over Argentina's Falkland Islands to the United Kingdom.

In this regard, he explained that La Libertad Avanza (LLA), a political alliance that supports Milei, reflects a “plan for the surrender of national sovereignty”. That is why the CECIM described as misleading the statement issued by the current Argentine Government regarding the 191 years of British occupation of the archipelago located in the South Atlantic of America.

“We noticed a misleading line in a misleading paragraph that coincides with what LLA wrote in its electoral platform, which says: 'Within this framework, the Argentine Government wishes to maintain a mature relationship with the United Kingdom, which includes a substantive and constructive dialogue on all issues of common interest with a view to generating a climate of trust favorable to the resumption of negotiations',” he said.

According to what was published on the RT web portal, the organization noted that the Government of Milei “responds to a political corporation outside the defense of national interests”, while stressing that “we are once again in the hands of a task force to hand over all vestiges of sovereign politics,” he added.
