FANB located and destroyed materials for illegal mining in Amazonas

‎A purpose of Operation Bolivarian Shield, members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) stationed in Amazonas, detected and destroyed materials for illegal mining.

‎La information was released by the strategic operational commander, Domingo Hernández Larez, who explained that the incident occurred during patrolling and scrutiny in the “Mata de Palma” sector, Yapacana parish, Atabapo municipality.

‎El official specified that the FANB detected and destroyed: Four plastic containers with a storage capacity of 220 liters, filled with gasoline-type fuel, for a total of 880 liters; a roll of 4" high-pressure hose of approximately 20 meters; a mining metal snail and two 13HP motor pumps.

‎ “Such materials and equipment that serve as logistical support for illegal mining activities, prohibited by the Venezuelan state,” he said.
