Fernando “el Colorado” Aristeguieta resigned from his position as technical director of Caracas FC, after the Avila team failed to qualify for home runs in the Opening Tournament of the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League).

The information was confirmed by the Caracas board of directors through a statement published on its social networks, in which it detailed that Aristeguieta submitted his resignation on Tuesday, April 21 in the morning hours, which was accepted by the institution.

Aristeguieta led the Avila team for one year and nine months, during which time he led 82 official matches: 62 in the FUTVE League, 10 in the CONMEBOL South American Championship and 10 in the Copa Venezuela. His record at the head of the first team was 29 wins, 27 draws and 26 losses.

Colorado led the club to qualification for two consecutive years in the South American CONMEBOL Group Stage, consolidating Caracas FC's international presence in the continental tournament.

“Aristeguieta is not just a coach who passed through our institution: he is part of the soul of Caracas FC,” the statement said.

He also emphasized that from his days as a player to his last session as a coach, I always represent with pride, commitment and values the colors that unite us. “The Caracas Football Club family thanks Fernando Aristeguieta for his dedication and professionalism; and wishes him every success in the challenges that lie ahead,” he added.
